Robin Patey is a Senior Partner at Express Solicitors, having been with the firm for over a decade. Robin has vast experience and an impressive success rate in complex, high-value serious injury claims of all kinds.

As a Partner in Express Solicitors since 2002, Robin has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s vision over the past ten years as it steadily grew to become one of the UK’s leading specialist Personal Injury Law firms.

He points to the understanding he fosters with his clients as one his personal strengths. “A good understanding of my client’s needs when they face very difficult time following severe injuries is important”, says Robin. “Often this is the most difficult time in a client’s life they may have lost or face losing their job, experience relationship difficulties or breakdown, be in severe or even unmanageable pain, not be able to play with their children, or follow hobbies they have spent their life enjoying”.

Robin has recently secured almost £4million for an RTA victim who sustained brain damage, £500,000 for a motorcycle accident victim, and £85,000 for an assault victim.

Daniel Slade is one of the Partners at Express Solicitors and has been with the firm since 2003. Daniel is part of the firms’ serious injury team, and has dealt with many unusual and complex cases. These cases can include; sporting accidents, non-UK accidents, accidents on aircraft’s and accidents on boats.

Daniel also has an outstanding reputation when it comes to animal-related accidents (including horse accidents) and has successfully won a significant number of complex cases in this field. Additionally, Daniel has dealt with countless high-profile ‘toxic sofa’ cases, suing Argos and other large furniture suppliers for skin conditions suffered by many individuals across the UK from their defective sofas.

Daniel has a wealth of experience with regards to the most complex accident cases. From accidents abroad, helping individuals to sue packaged holiday companies to cases closer to home, involving helping people who have slipped on icy surfaces or taken the harmful Avandia drug. Daniel’s experience and ability has been recognised by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers who gave him Senior Litigator status. He is also recognised as a Law Society Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme Member.

In 2013, Daniel was nominated under the ‘Young Lawyer’ category for the North West Insider Young Professionals Award. The Young Professionals Award provides a superb showcase for excellence in the Manchester professional community; all nominees have to be under the age of 35 coming from a range of different professional backgrounds.

Recent successes for Daniel include; a £779,000 valuation agreed for a gentleman in his late 60′s, already brain injured as an 8 year old boy and suffering further brain injuries when crossing the road in Manchester; £700,000 valuation agreed for an individual of a road accident after a Barrister told him “no chance of success”; securing £240,000 for a victim’s family after a fatal accident in a rented property, securing £100,000 for a lady who suffered from a horse-riding accident; and securing £115,000 for an individual who brought his claim 3 years after the litigation deadline.

Richard Lowery is a Partner at Express Solicitors, having joined the firm in May 2012. He is head of the firm’s Employer’s Liability Department, overseeing a team of Solicitors specialising in cases involving Personal Injury sustained in the workplace. Regarded as an empathetic and considerate solicitor, Richard invests time to foster a strong rapport with every individual and family he represents. He has a meticulous eye for detail, effortlessly examining the fine detail within each individual case, identifying the potential strengths and weaknesses of a claim from an early stage.

Richard has a wealth of experience in handling serious injury claims. Sharon Denby

Sharon Denby is a Partner at Express Solicitors and has a wealth of experience and expertise dealing with the most serious of injuries.  An experienced solicitor, Sharon is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as a Personal Injury Specialist having been appointed panel member since 2005.

With many years’ experience specialising in complex and catastrophic injury cases Sharon is a knowledgeable litigator and skilled negotiator. Sharon has a special interest in brain injury and psychiatric harm cases. She has recently concluded a criminal injuries (CICA) case on appeal before the tribunal. The victim suffered from a brain injury as a result of a gunshot to the head. On appeal Sharon managed to secure an award for future care that had previously been rejected.  The claimant in this case received a compensation award over £250,000.

Other recent notable successes for Sharon include; recovering £200,000 for a pub landlady who lost a toe after a gas cylinder fell from height onto her foot, and £375,000 for a lady who sustained a serious knee injury whilst working as a nurse at a mental health hospital.
